Firstly,  I think that Digital Storm is a top outfit and folks like Alex and DST4ME are beyond helpful and nice. The company has a solid BBB rating and fantastic word of mouth around the net... I've had my eye on them for years and it was a given that I would eventually get my hands on one. I've hung around this great forum for awhile and had my rig picked out. I was locked and loaded.

But a few bad vibes have held me back. Don't get defensive, guys, but hiding your tech assist forum is a really bad policy. It makes it seem to prospective customers like you're hiding something... You should either keep it and make it only for customers who have already bought their computers, like AW does, or leave it out in the open for non-registered users, like Cyberpower does. I read back a bit and found fan boys, the "heavyset bald guy avatar" for instance, who fan boyed here a lot and ended up with frustrating problems and dead rigs. Its like wearing a toupee when you hide stuff like this... I can see that you guys took care of all of them >>> BAM!!! But I truly think you'd be better off keeping this stuff for paying customers only.

Lastly, - Outside Link Removed - is not doing you guys any favors... Think back to Psychology 101. You want to address the customer in your replies to their criticisms. Referring to someone in the third person is highly arrogant and offensive. It makes it seem like you could care less about them as an individual and you just want to defend yourself in open court. This is done over and over going back years... I've read multiple negative reviews where its obvious that things got personal and these never should have made it on the net for prospective customers to read.

Folks will now think that "If you treat them like that. You might treat me like that". Think about it : its basic psychology. You should respond to none of those and they will look like the sour grapes that they are... When you get in the pit with them, you only hurt yourself. FNW NEVER responds to anything and look, they have like one negative review a year! You don't want the trolls to know that you'll fight them on resellers.

Anyhow, just my five cents. I love good boutiques and you guys are near the top. Good luck! Dead

the tech support is not hidden, I think you are refering to the storm drain section, that is visable once you login in, DS's policy is once the problem is solved, its removed.

I don't agree with following other business's policies, specially losers like AW and Cyberpower. DS is totally a different company with much different systems.

just my 2 cents of course I don't work for DS, so those are just my 2 cents. I understand your points, but I think it is better this way, all of us found DS from searching the web or reading about them some where, and once we came here we were satisfied.

I want DS to build my rig, but sadly I'm not prepared to handle the hassle of transatlantic shipping, so I'll have to go with one of the UK builder cause I'm a hardware noob.

BTW apparently CyberPower has a uk branch, I wonder if they're related in anyway to Cyberpower USA.

PS, the bald fat avatar guy was probably BillDempsy.

Agree with some of the points Joe made but my experiences with Alienware and Dell were awful My experience with DS so far has been nothing but good. Will post more comments after i get my system dialed in.

Well in all fairness my experience with Dell has been good but I can't get the quality top of the line parts/customization/workmanship/customer service/technical support that DS offers from Dell, DS's experience is on a whole different level, which is why I always say that you can't compare other companies like Dell to DS cause its like rock and a diamond, dell's best pc couldn't beat some of the budget build we have here with a 920 oced and a 5870, here you truly get a beast, where as with Dell and AW and them you get a beast wanna be, so it not a fair comparison.

now why you got to call poor bill bald and fat? he is a very nice and a great guy.
