Good evening everyone,

I had a question for the admins: Does your technical team update the Operating System (WIN 7 in this case) to the latest service pack and hot fixes for the customer before DS ships the computer out? Thanks.

The system comes with Windows 7 SP1, due to our resouces on the network, we do not apply updates afterwards. We're working in integrating them into our images that we use to install on PCs.

When the system comes from DS, there are like a hundred updates to download and apply. A suggestion.... do only a few at a time to minimize failures. It takes a bit more time, but at least you get all the updates successfully applied.

Then use Norton Ghost or some other disk imaging software to save a copy. Makes things a lot easier if you ever have to reinstall the OS.
