I'm hoping to take the plunge in a week or so, so I decided to make a ticket and see what the community thinks.

My budget is around $2500 and I'll be using a 22" widescreen monitor.

Thoughts? Suggestions? DST4ME?

looks good, make sure you like the looks of the HAF case, and when you drop the graphics card back to the normal one, maybe you will have some budget left over to up the HDD to a 1TB, but other than that looks good.

Alright that's looking pretty good, thanks for the tips guys. I hadn't even noticed the 1TB had a larger cache.

DST are you sure the Stage 2 Noctua will fit with that motherboard? I'm assuming it will possibly because it's the LE edition, rather than the regular EVGA it says it won't fit on?

Quick question.

I live in Alaska and regular Ground shipping is $268.01 for the computer and a monitor, yet if I selected the Crate shipping method it would only be $257.68.

Am I actually saving money by selecting the crate, or would an extra $200 be tacked on afterward?

Ground: $268.01
Computer: $210.33
Monitor: $57.68

Wooden Crate Ground: $257.68
Computer: $200.00
Monitor: $57.68

the crate cost $200, for example, I get free shipping here in the usa but I ordered a crate so I pay the $200, so I'm pretty sure its $268.01 + $257.68, but I don't work for DS so you should email them and ask that: [email protected], [email protected]

also I think one of the charges for the monitor will be dropped. so its probably gonna be $268.01 + $200.
