I bought a refirbished on newegg, only for it to arive with a bad mobo...random shut downs..liek i pulled the battery out. anyway, HP jsut released a new model of the pavilion. whats your guys opnions on this? prive range is anything with an i7 or even an AMD cpu, and its got to have good grafx, either brand. (6770 or higher). a back lit keyboard, and full 1080 display would be sweet also. kinda hesitant to press buy on another HP...i have heard they had a phase with total sh*te mobos, and its not like a desktop where you can jsut replace it in 15 mins. im sadened now becaue i wont have it before graduation. anyway, "the bulldozer will own face" kid is back, and looking for a good laptop!

I am not sure that DS would like us talking about another companies product, but my last laptop i owned was a HP 17" and it is still running. I have used Acer, Asus, HP, Dell, Lenovo and DS. If i was using it for home i would go DS then Lenovo. For work I would go with Lenovo just because the w500 i am using is pretty tough. I have dropped it screen first on the floor and it still runs with no issues. Heck the screen didn't even crack. Now my DS xm17 is insanely fast compared to my lenovo (SB compared to C2D) but we have to use either Lenovo or Apple here so i will stick with Lenovo.
