Is it normal for it to take this long for a basic build; An i5 with a regular 4060? I called customer support and they said it would have been shipped this last Friday, that came around.. so I called again and they said stage 5 by today... and it's still "pending assembly". I am starting to regret paying this much for the convenience of not having to build the PC myself. I had no clue I was going to have to wait a month for a basic computer build. Waiting this long for a PC to be assembled and paying an extra 600+ dollars just for nice cable management and LED lights is pretty silly..... They told me to email them back if it had not reached stage 5 by today, I did that... no response. I'm thinking about getting a refund and just building the machine myself, I would have had it 2 weeks ago. Needless to say this is the last time I ever purchase a pre-built. Terrible experience.

I think standard build times are 15-20 business days. Sounds like you're around the 12-13 business day mark. Still within the build window.

Unfortunately, this is the nature of ordering a system from a system integrator. For some options like a GPU and/or CPU water block, DS procures these from offsite and thus must be ordered.

During COVID, we also had to deal with GPU shortages as well as limitations on workers being present in the facility to actually build the systems.

These concerns are nothing new. The bigger concern that has my attention is the lack of real YouTube content, forum participation, and lack of news regarding transition to a discord forum. Return customers are what will make Digital Storm successful. Lack of meaningful informtation from the company makes it seem that gaming PCs are not that big a deal.

When was the last time we saw a design update from Digital Storm? The Bolt was eliminated. Velox, Lumos and Aventum have not been updated in years. In the Hydrolux draining video, I learned that Digital Storm replaced the cylindrical pump reservoir in the Lumos with a boxfish. Interesting thing about the boxfish is it actually has a physical drain with a quick-disconnect. Improvement, yes.

These are the questions I have potentially impacting my decision to buy a new system.
