Very nice

950si case
Q9550
4GB DDR3 Corsair

A Raptor for the OS and a second HDD for everything else

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280
Liquid Chilled
Memory Fan Kit Installed
OC both PC and ram

I mean the only thing may have changed would be a lower graphic card cause I'm not a gamer and probably lose the second DVD drive cause I would have no use.

If I were to order a PC today, that would be what I would order. I'm dying to know what speed it will OC while stable, with all the stuff you got it should be great.

DST4ME goes back to the couch to lay down in his misery and jealousy.

OK but we are hopping you can get that, but its not guaranteed so I don't want you to go straight to cloud 9 only to fall.

I'm just saying with your setup you should get great results but from what me and HM see we think you could achieve 3.8, keep fingers crossed we are

during the testing phase you will find out what it can do, and like I said before you have to ask them the OC number if you want to know during testing.

I'm waiting on your OC too.

Stage 5 ! !

The email for the Stage 5 notification came just 5 hours after the Stage 4 email.

I did call them for a status check, since I did not hear anything for about a week. Within minutes after that call, I received the Stage 4 notice. I guess they just forgot the Stage 4 notification. I was surprised when I received the stage 5 notice just hours later.

Now the estimated ship date is 8/25 - 26.

why the heck do you have a 3.4?

you got the 950si case that is suppose to be for water cooling, vs HM's 850si.

you both have water cooling. what gives?

you guys got different mombos didn't you?

I know every processor is unique, but I really expected something better than 3.4 Thumbs%20DownCensoredThumbs%20Down

And yes, I got the 950Si case, water cooled, 790i mobo, 1000W corsair PSU, 4 GB 1033 DDR3..., virtually the same as HM, but with the "better for water cooling case".

I guess someone from DSO needs to explain why the "low" OCing CryCry.

All said, it still should be a screamer, even though I probably could saved a little with the 9450 OC'd.

I assume the 9450's OC'd are closer to 3.4??

I would call and see if there was a mistake when the BIOS was set. Maybe someone set it up as though it were a 9450 when they did the OC. It's also possible that you just have a chip that refused to OC as well as other 9550's. About a year ago, DSO had a customer that paid for an extreme chip, was upgraded to a QX6850 because the QX6800 he paid for went out of stock actually, and winded up with a 100MHz OC over stock on a liquid cooled extreme chip. If you think you're dissappointed.. hehe. I'll bet Alex still has the scars (and nightmares Tongue) from that one.

I am hoping they can help you push the clocks a bit higher, and that you have a nice stable OC closer to what you want after the fact, if you are just unlucky with your chip however, take some comfort in the knowledge that at the resolutions you're likely to be gaming at with a GTX280, you are just not going to be CPU bound. For the vast, vast majority of games, if you play on a 22" monitor or larger, you wouldn't be bound by a CPU running at anything past 2.8GHz, honest. Your GPU will be your bottleneck.

I guess I will have to wait until I actually receive the computer. I will then, with DOSs help (as well as all of you all) go from there.

I am actually going to run her on a 24" monitor. I was going to wait and see how it ran on that with just a single GTX 280. If it did not run OK, I would then add a 2nd card.

If it ran OK, I was going to add a 2nd card after a couple of price drops.

Hopefully it will all work out.
