I would consider upgrading storage set 1 to a Samsung 980 Pro. It'll cost an additional $106, but it'll be about 13x faster. I have one of those in my Velox, and it boots soooooo fast!
Velox, Intel Core i9 11900K, ASUS ROG Maximus XIII Hero
32GB RAM, 1TB Samsung 980 Pro NVME
RTX 4090, 38" Ultrawide LG-38GL950G
Noctua NH-D15S cooler and NF-A14 fans, Corsair AX1600i PSU

If you don't have a multi-core productivity need, the 5950x is a waste of your money. For gaming the 5800X is just as good.

Fix the mistake at Storage Set 1 like JamesAstro says. The SATA drive you picked is the slowest SSD here.

Just contact Digital Storm ASAP. The vast majority of the time if you call them to change something in your order early in the process it's a total non-issue.

BigShot44,

I am in Stage 4 also. I am replacing a 12 year old Digital Storm that I am typing on now that only needed a fan replaced after all these years.

Digital Storm builds quality products that last!

Too late.

Create about a 200GB partition on the Firecuda, and clone the OS setup on the 500GB SATA SSD to it when you get the system. Otherwise, you will be doing everything from literally the slowest SSD you can get here. The Firecuda is in the area of 9 TIMES FASTER.

You want a smallish partition on the faster drive so that you aren't scanning and backing up more than about 200GB for Windows, browser, apps, and maintenance software. It also saves you from having to wipe the entire huge drive if the worst happens and you have to re-install Windows.

Windows has a Wizard to partition the drive, and the build comes with just Windows and drivers installed. You may be able to clone the whole thing to a USB memory stick, and copy it over to the Firecuda partition from there. Go into the BIOS and make the new partition your boot drive. Disable the original boot drive and re-name your new boot partition "C". Use Google and/or You Tube if you need help. You can ALWAYS call DS tech support if you get stuck. Trust me, it is totally pointless to spend the kind of dough you did and operate your rig from a SATA SSD.

Well, i think i can just upgrade it immediately from what im told and could save a little $. I know I’ve spent a ton already, but I’ll just buy it and do that part myself since it’s a plug and play.
