Strong build IMHO except maybe for the PSU. You might want to consider the 850W to allow you more headroom for future upgrades. It's not a must have for this build, but it might allow you to get better longevity in the long run.
If a concern is you just don't have the cash for that right now, consider this: you would free up the money by selecting 16 Gb of RAM. That's all you'll need for gaming for a very good while. Upgrading your RAM is actually the easiest thing you you can do, whereas changing out your PSU requires a re-wiring of your system. Just a thought.... Edited by Cretae - 12 Mar 2022 at 3:31am |

Definitely consider bigger power supply on Nvidia website 3060Ti is 600-watt minimum. I went with a 1000 watt so there is some build-out. |

Can confirm. After replacing my RAM (easiest), upgrading my GPU (easy-ish), and then the PSU, I have to say that I wouldn't have been able to do that PSU first. And even if you do find the PSU to be fairly easy, if you're like the rest of us, getting the wiring anywhere near back to DS standards is a task in and of itself.

DevilDog,
Es freut mich ein Bisschen Deutsch auf dem Forum hier zu lesen. By the way, I agree with the others that the power supply ought to be bumped up to 850 Watt. Sein oder nicht sein das is hier die Frage? I would upgrade the power supply while you can. Edited by Onkel_Ken - 12 Mar 2022 at 1:53pm |

Thanks for the replies/advice. I have sent an email to customer support asking to upgrade the PSU to 850w to allow for future upgrades. Leaving the ram at 32mb to avoid needing to upgrade as needs change....

Congratulations and welcome to DS. ![]() There is very little I can add to the comments except I would remove the gpu oc. Not needed and can bring heat issues. Usually not recommended here. Don't know why the others did not comment on it. Enjoy and please keep us posted. ![]() |

I agree with my friend. I simply overlooked that. Particularly in the Lynx case that overload of heat could well shorten the life of the card and and be a detriment to overall temps. The overclock is mild but will increase heat and make the fans run louder more often. The slight performance boost is not enough to offset the drawbacks.

Thought I would update this thread. All times CST.(We don't play that DS time crap in AZ)
Stage 1 -- 3/10 12:32 pm Stage 2 -- 3/14 12:24 pm Stage 3 -- 3/15 10:03 am 3/16 -- as I had experienced no luck with the email contacts on the webpage (no replies) on getting the changes made, today, I called....Maybe I should have called right away rather than tried the website "contact us" service....Anyway, changes made, so no harm no foul... Will update with further Stage changes as they happen... |
