Have DST look over your build before DS actually starts building your system. You've chosen some options that you don't need/are inferior to some cheaper option. DST can get all of that sorted out for you.
I'm waiting on my rig too, welcome to the longest wait of your life club ![]() Edited by Wonberger - 30 Nov 2011 at 10:03pm |

Yeah some things I can see.
1200w PSU is not needed for that set up and no matter what PSU you go with don't go with the generic DS option go with the Corsair Gold. More efficient and a longer warranty. For the SSD go with the Intel 320 series (various sizes available) it's the most reliable of all the SSD options. SATA III is not needed for the SSD. The 320 operates faster and you will notice that performance more then it's information transfer rate. For the secondary HDD go with the 1TB WD Caviar Black, has better speed then the 500GB and has a 64MB cache compared to only 32MB for the 500GB. The Killer cards are absolutely not necessary and if you are lucky they will drop your ping by a few milliseconds. Things like Leaxtrix Latency Fix do more then the Killer cards and Leatrix is a free one time use program. For the GPUs we would need to know what resolution you are playing at to know what GPUs are right for you. For the liquid cooling, you have to go with Stage 4 or better to beat the temps from the Noctua air cooler. So if you really want LC step up to the Stage 4. The noise suppression and fan upgrades conflict with each other as the fan upgrades are very fast but going with the noise suppression they just tune them down real low. The foam is also not really needed. If you are going to go with this set up go with at least the Stage 2 OC for the CPU, just as for a VCore below 1.4v. Also do not OC the GPUs. GPU over clocking will result in frame rate boosts usually in the single digits and will burn your cards out more quickly. |

Well, I think jmaster pretty much hit the nail on the hit. DS is awesome about allowing you to alter an already placed order.

The one thing I would add. You selected your own fan controller, so if you want the fan upgrade just to get the LEDs leave it like that with out the noise packages and adjust the speeds to what you want to balance noise/airflow.

thx but it does not work like that, you did the work, you get the credit
the end.
but one thing to remember is that we need to know the res of the monitor and use to determine what gpu is best bang for the buck, for example unless user wants to do 3D, they don't need the 570, cause their performance is so close, so as jm299 pretty much said: What is the native resolution of the monitor you gonna be gaming at? also post the final specs you are going with and let us help you get your moneys worth without waste. ![]() Edited by DST4ME - 01 Dec 2011 at 6:04am |

The Native resolution I will be using is 1920x1080, as well as other higher resolutions, as this is for gaming and Day Trading.
