Congratulations!

I am about to place an order for an almost identical rig.

I am wondering though, since you have requested a CPU OC, why didn't you select 1600MHz RAM?

Also, why did you choose Integrated Motherboard Audio instead of dedicated sound card?

I couldnt justify the cost for a 4GB config at 1600, so chose to run 1:1 with the 1333.  From everything I hear and I'm not an audiophile the onboard sound with the 790 is good.  Planning on buying the Z-2300 Logitech speaker system, only play itunes and gaming Warhammer/Combat Arms/BF2.

Both of these options I can always change out when the wallet fattens up and/or prices have come down.

It wont be running 1:1...more like 1:2. 1333/4 vs 1333/2.

And since they are overclocking it, it wont be 1:2 either. The very most basic OC will push the FSB to 1600, which if they leave the ram unlinked with be 6:10. Chances are good though that they will be able to get the FSB past 1600.

Yeah forgot about the whole math thing :)  Hopefully I'll get a good chip and with the liquid cooling they will be able to push it decently.  From most reviews I've read with ppl using DDR2 1066 they are able to get 3.2-3.4 out of the processor on Air, since I am DDR3 1333 and liquid cooling I am hoping to acheive around 3.5-3.6.

Went out on the 20th, official shipping date was really the 21st after they drove it up from San Jose to Sacremento, so it's been on the road for 5 days, hoping that it arrives on Tuesday or Wednesday though Fed Ex tracking said Estimated delivery Aug 23rd HAHA had to laugh at that one, but they were supposed to send a delivery update on Friday and never did so it may be lost *sigh*.  DS needs an East Coast office Lamp.

Here's to FedEx getting here by Wednesday, c'mon workingman get those boys moving!

Instead of sponsoring $10M dollars for the PGA Tour, maybe Fed Ex could hire some employees to get packages to customers

HAHA, got a generated report saying they tried to deliver but customer wasn't at home.  Report generated at 9:45 pm CST, which I'm guessing means the delivery guy didnt complete his route and made up a BS excuse cause I've been home all day.

So I call Fed Ex Ground Customer service, the driver flat out lied about making an attempt at delivery (9:45pm EST on Tuesday), it had been on his truck since 10am Tuesday not more than 25 miles from my house.

So I talk to customer service at 12pm today, they tell me they will text a msg to the delivery office and have them get in contact with me, it's 5pm and no contact so I call them back.  Meanwhile my computer is bouncing around in the back of some slacker's truck in the middle of Hurricane Fay remanents about 8 inches of rain in Raleigh today.

To DS:  Pick a new carrier Fed Ex blows and see about a refund on my package you shouldn't have to pay for shoddy delivery service like this cause I'm sure it isn't cheap and your customers are not getting their packages on time.  If this thing comes in busted to hell I'll be sure to let you know.

Yeah Fed Ex blows! When my first DSO machine was being shipped they said I will get it around 11 AM but then it was 1 PM and called them and they said that I have to pay 60 bucks more for it to come before 1 PM...wtf? so then they said they will "Text" the driver, but the driver called 2 hours later, some nice lady and we talked for a bit lol it was nice!

but yeah...Fed Ex BLOWS! Since this day I have NOT seen ONE good shipping company...DHL maybe?

I think FedEx is the best out of the bunch, dhl sucks and ups will sit on your package even if its next door to you, until the ship day, FedEx won't do that.

looks like the deliver server that was chosen was by 4 pm or end of the day, for those if you want it earlier you have to upgrade the service, which will cost more.

what puzzled me is that:

1. only the sender can make changes

2. they don't normally make that kind of change, I shocked they told you 60 bucks, I'm wondering maybe that was in house.
