Hey,

I have decided that if I end up purchasing a system, I will either buy it with the cheapest graphics card possible or without one at all. I have a still working GTX 260. Will there be any issues in building if I select no graphics card? Will the system still be under warranty?

I understand that if there are any graphics card related issues that I will be on my own. So far the card I'm using hasn't given up the ghost yet, so I don't plan on it dying anytime soon.

The reason I ask is that I am highly interested in the new ATI cards that are "rumored" to be released on Sept. 22 or 23. I was looking at getting one or maybe 2 in CF. So I figured I could just buy a system now since Intel has already released the i5's and there won't be any major processor updates till next year.

The other question I had in regards to the new ATI card, if I wait until AMD's official announcement, how long before you guys will put it in the configurator? I would be fine with "pre-ordering" if you expect to have stock. I'm in no big hurry. I'm just trying to figure out which would be more cost effective.

Thanks

you can order teh system with no gpu that is fine.

the system will be under warranty without gpu.

once the cards are announced, they still take time to actually hit the market, keep in mind by jan or feb of 2010 nvidia will have cards that will be better then the ati cards coming out and there are no games that will take advantage of dx11 yet.

You could buy the system and have us hold it until the card you want comes in.  Once they are released to the general market, we usually will have them in 3-5 days after that.
