I am now wondering what is the better way to go, play it safe and only get 2 gigs of ram with windows xp pro or go for 4 gigs (1066hz) and get vista 64bit? Whats everyones opinion about this?

Joker,
It is really a matter of if you want Vista 64 or xp pro. If you want xp pro there really is no need to get 4 gig's of ram unless you are going to upgrade to vista 64 in the future. If you are thinking of installing vista 64 then I would get the 4 gigs.
More & more users are going with 64 bit...but that is up to you. Read and compare and then do it again. I switched to 64 bit and have not had any issues this far.

Im actually still deciding between 2 or 4GB of 1066 or 4GB of 800 dominator or 8GB of XMS.
4GB is 1066 is kinda over my budget right now though and would delay me probably another week or so to build up the capital as i want to pay off this computer right on the spot..no payments or CC debt thank you haha.
2GB 1066 is obviously with Vista x32. The rest would be with Vista x64.

Is it worth getting a 64bit OS now or would it be better to wait for a service pack for vista and just stick with xp pro for now?
