What exactly is done to "tweak" an OS. I saw it on the available pre-ship optimization choices. Just wondering what they are and how much performance gain I can see.

you won't see any performance gain, its more disabling the annoying stuff, its gonna take a lot more then some services to slow down these beasts that DS builds.
we can do the tweaking ourselves if you like, you don't need to choose that. if you are in vista first thing you do is disable uac, anything else you need to done you can come here and we can help you with. Edited by DST4ME - 06 Jan 2009 at 9:17pm |

actually for these types of systems, OS tweaks are pointless, cause they are way too powerful for anybody to notice a difference, if you notice a difference with these PCs then something is wrong with your PC.
These tweaks where from the first day of XP an also when PCs were single core and under 1GB of ram, todays PCs with 4 cores and 4GB of ram or more, can run many instances of XP or vista at the same time with all the services and not even blink. |
