I noticed that sound cards from Creative Labs are causing some rebooting and restart issues.  I was wondering if there are other Sound Card that can provide optical audio sound without any software or hardware issues.  I had the problem with it before and it was resolved by downloading Driver Sweeper and install only the mandatory drivers.

Usually it is either error on the owners side, or a rare conflict with some other program.
I have many of these cards in use, and have installed them on many other PC's and besides one dead one, there have been zero issues.
Properly ran, they are very good, you can get an Auzentech card, which is mostly just a slightly modded version of the Creative cards, with Auzentech drivers, but I have had worse luck with them, on Windiws 7.
Creative does not have the best support, and there seems to be a ton of mis-indfromation out there on these cards, so I knpw it can be frustrating.
