I opted to get my system overclocked to stage two: 2600k - cooled by Noctua NH-D14, sitting in a Cooler Master 942 HAF X.  When I booted up the system for the first time and subsequently, the clock speed is showing 3.40Ghz.  I was told the overclock setting was 4.50Ghz (testing details email).  Is there something I am missing or neglecting to do?  Thanks for the help ...Big%20Smile

Hi spindrift....The overclock only kicks in whrn needed, when the cpu is stressed during a game for example.    Download cpu-z and run it while playing a game.   In the bottom left window the core speed will show the oc.    It will initially show as 3400Mhz then bump to 4500Mhx or so under stress.   Hope this helps.

bprat22:  Thanks for the quick response.  I will do just that.  Any benchmarking programs you'd recommend to get an idea of how my system compares to some current data; one that will stress my system enough to allow OCing to be factored into the results?  Thanks again. Big%20Smile
