I've seen multiple references to a disagreement between forum members and DS as to the best way to overclock the cpu. I've got my config. to where I want it, but I'm thinking that when I get it I'll have to check the OC settings and change them to get the best performance from the CPU. Does the forum have a recommendation on an overclocking guide/site so a newbie can do a quality job?

if I understand DS correctly, if you change the overclock settings on your rig without paying for Digital Storm to walk you through doing it over the phone, you will void your warranty. If you want to do it yourself, you will still need to call Digital Storm on the phone after you get your rig, then pay for them to walk you through it and that is the only way the warranty will be unaffected.
If I am wrong, someone can correct me but if I remember correctly, that is the situation..
