Hey everyone at DSO, I just received my stage 7 results and here they are:

Processor Speed GHz: 4.0
CPU Multiplier: 22
Voltage CPU VCore: 1.3875
VDroop Control: Yes
i7 - BCLK MHz: 183
i7 - Voltage QPI\DRAM:
i7 - Voltage QPI\PLL:
i7 - Voltage CPU VTT:
i7 - Voltage IOH Vcore:
i7 - Voltage ICH Vcore:
i7 - Voltage IOH/ICH I/O:
i7 - PWM Frequency:
780i/790i - Memory Clock Mode:
780i/790i - CPU FSB MHz:
780i/790i - Voltage FSB:
780i/790i - Voltage SPP:
780i/790i - Voltage MCP:

Overclocked Video Card Settings

Core MHz: 870
Memory MHz: 1220
Shader MHz:

When I purchased the PC I wasn't planning on OC'ing myself even though I went with stage 4 LCS mainly for looks. But now I'm contemplating that it would be a waste if I didn't use the LCS to its full extent so here I am. I was wondering if any of you guys could help me get the processor to 4.3GHz or higher with complete stability. I probably wont have the computer for another week or so, but I just made this thread wondering if it's possible or not to OC that high. Thanks.

ha well you didnt include any of the hardware you ordered in your post so its hard to tell Hahaha

either way, theres nothign wasteful about not going over 4ghz
its fun, to be sure, but its only going to show a difference in synthetic benchmark testing, wont change your games or desktop use even by .1%

so i would personally suggest not doing it, instead of looking at it as "why waste the potential" look at it as "why mess with what already does more than i need"

you want to hit 20K in vantage? lol my single GTX 470 will do that with ease... 2 5870's better be breaking 30K Big%20Smile
once you get your PC, run realtemp with Prime95 to get an idea of how much headroom you have for overclocking. if there is any, then we can help you get more out of it.
feeding 3 5870's on a single core app, 5Ghz is not fast enough to get them up to 100% scale, 5.5Ghz would prolly do it, but mine won't go that high.. Cry don't know about 2 5870's though. lol but 4Ghz should be plenty

can't see the pic at work, but is PPU on? just a guess. lol if it is, it is not a legal score, an is inflated by using the GPU to calc to CPU power..

Well FedEx says the rig should be here on Friday. I'll probably be too excited to run anything other than installing a few games and stuff. I'll run the tests and post the temps and bios settings Saturday. Thanks a lot guys..and 30K? Now that would be awesome!

post up results when you can, if you don't break 30K a little tweaking will push it over for sure.  Big%20Smile

So close to 30K ahah. I don't think it's worth OC'ing this especially since I've already had some issues with the computer on day 1. I think 28K is certainly a respectable score.

what issues did you have? dont let some hiccups scare you away from tweaking, it will always happen

but even if you decide not to that is still a good score, going higher would really only benefit your ego Big%20Smile
