Aight, so I just swapped out the cruddy Intel Stock heatsink in my rig to a muchhh more versatile Venomous X, and I'm looking to pump up my overclock. Before, it was stable at 3.33Ghz using the intel stock, temps hit 65C idle though and 90 on load, but that was before. Now, the idle temp is ~45C and the load temp nearly touches 60C.
I've no experience at all with overclocking, the BIOS i'm familiar with though. Anyone mind explaining how this all works? (I'm literally clueless on the procedures for overclocking...) |

...aghhhh crap, you know what, I'm gonna let this wait a bit...
i have a crappy, XFX board, that now wants to murder my 9600GTs and my i7 920 my motherboard's freaking out, I will NEVER buy from XFX ever again. CPU is magically running idle at 55C now, and maxes out at 85C on prime95. 9600 GTs have unresponsive automatic fan controls in the topmost PCI-E slot, and considerably overheat whenever I stress them. it just magically happened....I'll try OC'ing when I swap out for a decent EVGA board...
