Ok, you have Linx, and realtemp correct?
Do you have a program called E-leet? will need that to
when you have all of them, then the next step will be to enter the BIOS, this is done by restarting your PC, and tapping the DEL key intil you see the blue BIOS screen, in the BIOS you will see frequency/volatge control, enter that tab, and as you navigate through the various sections, I need you to fill out your settings in the template.
copy the template and replace what is in red with your settings

Ok, well first thing I will need to know is how far do you want to go with this overclock? your chips looks like we can go pretty high, but I do not know how high we can go and still be under DS warranty?
also I might need you to make sure that the other memory timings are on auto, that way we can get rid of that 2t on the RAM. lol
So if you give me an idea of how high you want to go, then we can set the BIOS up for that goal, and slowly work our way to it.
I know DS warranty is good for 4.2Ghz as long as the temps and voltages are in check, and I think your chip could go 4.4Ghz-4.6Ghz but 4.2 will be no problem. Edited by justin.kerr - 15 Feb 2010 at 8:52pm |

4.2 to 4.3 is enough for me even though i have a stage 6 LCS for CPU and GPU cooling.

Will try those settings later on today. Since the Hailstorm is already OCd from 3.33 to 3.92 what will these new settings take it up to?

the new settings will not bump it much, but rather lay the ground work for a higher overclock, the new settings will start you out at 4.025Ghz, and then you can go up from there

CPU Uncore Frequency will only allow me to enter
Auto or numbers starting with 24X. There is nothing showing lower than 24X up to 60X |

Left Memory Frequency 1600 Mhz / 2:12 as is. Only option showing for 2:10 is to use 1333 Mhx.
Did not see PnP/PCI PCI Express Maximum Payload Size ( 128 ) |

Trying your settings again. The lowest option i see for CPU Uncore Frequency is (24X). There is no option for 20X. The only option showing before (24X) is Auto.

like I said earlier, once you select 2:10 for the RAM multi, you have to exit to the main BIOS screen then go back to the frequencies/voltages section, glitch in the BIOS.

Justin,
Hailstorm back on line after DS sent me new hard drives. Also added 2 Corsair SSDs. Followed your instructions. Finally got all your recommended settings to the BIOS entered. Saved and rebooted successfully. CPU-Z shows core speed now is 4.015. What do i do next? Mal |

now you need to run 10 passes of Linx at max memory, and have realtemp going to check the temps.
