According to its specs. the intel i7-2600k cpu base frequency is 3.4 ghz and its idle frequency is 1.6 ghz. The base multiplier is 34.  When the cpu is overclocked, does the idle frequency increase as well? If it does, does it increase by about the same percentage as the base frequency?

nope it remains the same(1600 mhz).
