The painted interior on the cases is very hip. Tell me about consideration of painting the outsides of cases by Digital Storm.
Thank you.

We (can) paint the exterior too. What do you need to know?

Is the exterior paint job about the same price as the interior? ~270? Can you get the interior and exterior painted and would it just be 270x2? These would be my questions if I cared to ask em, I guess.

I personally am not into the whole paint job thing anymore. I've come to realise that when I upgrade, I like the whole package deal. A new and different case makes it feel new... LOL! Yeah, I'm a fool for packaging and marketing.
Maybe I'd feel differently if I had a truly durable and solid case like a Silverstone TJ 07 or a Zalman T1000 or wotever that one is... something with 4mm thick aluminum tends to scream lifetime investment. Then again, the TJ09 is pretty impressive too. Is that as solid as a TJ07? |

If and when I buy a top end pc, the cosmetic, that is, looks will matter. Just as a car buyer cares about looks and motor so do I in a 1st class machine.
Being able to have the choice of paint on dif cases is exciting to think about and could help folks decide to buy. The calling card for other 'boutique' pc venders is a unique case. Having options to paint a Coolermaster or Silverstone is just kool.

Yeah, I especially think the painted interiors make DSO stand out. It's a sharp look that isn't overly glitzy.

Today when I checked and reconfigured the Digtal Storm I want when my ship comes in and y'all had added exterior red paint to the pictures and later added a written option to add interior OR exterior paint to the machine.
Wow.
I need to get serious now that you've got everything any top-end gamer could ever desire. Let me catch my breath.

I can assure you, it may not seem like a big deal, but the paint really is a beautiful finishing touch. It may not "do" anything but a lot of stuff these days are for aesthetic purposes... windows, lights, different case designs (no-one wants a big beige box anymore) all do the same thing... make it pleasing to the eye.
DS (or whomever they contract for the paint) does it VERY WELL... I showed a co-worker a pic of my computer because he was kinda laughing that i got it painted... when he saw it, he stopped laughing and he asked if they could do his motorcycle helmets and gas tank... Everyone that has seen it just stares and says WOW... even non enthusiasts :) oh, one more thing... (and I always recommend this) the TJ 09 is a great case, but spend the extra 10 bux and get the TJ 10...its the same case, except is has a front door. It isnt a cheap plastic front door either, its made of the same metal as the case and it stays closed via magnets (no clips to break and isnt going to break off) Edited by ed1371 - 02 Apr 2008 at 11:15pm |

Thx for the info Ed. Was it a problem to ask for a dif case than they show on the website or just ask? No doubt the front door is important to me too and the TJ10 is classy. Although the cosmos has a regular front door and on another updated model a double mini 'shutter' door which I do not care for. Also Nvidia has a new ESA or Enthusiast System Archetecture feature which looks very kool.
I guess if I take the top end plunge I would like to know the parameters of "a la carte' gaming machine menu with Digital Storm..

If you want a certain case, just ask. Thats all there is too it.
DS will put what ever you ask for.. they are known for that. it isnt limited to the case.. if you want something... tell them! |
