I cannot seem to get my Canon BJC 2010 printer to work using a usb to parallel cable. When I bought my system DS said it will work. Running windows XP. I need this printer to work BADLY. Tried "add a printer in control panel. do not understand what port to use? Tried LPT 1 and Comm 1 but to no avail. If anybody can help me it would be greatly appreciated!!!

Never buy a very Cheap cable!!!!!! Me nd randy from Ds went through everything trying to find out why the printer wasn't printing. To make a long story short ....bought a Belken Brand cable and it worked fine . Didn't have to do anything. Xp recognized it a it was done. Thank you Randy from DS support!!!

When in device manager ..one of the usb ports said"unknown device".
