Has anyone used Parted Magic? I am having a problem getting the SQFS file to load on Windows 7. I need to erase all data off my Intel 520 SSD. Yes, I have tried the Intel Toolbox Utility and it will not allow an erase to be carried out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi MICHAEL2A,

I noticed that no one has replied to your two post on this subject. I don't know if you got it sorted out or not.

Here is a article on PC World that might help you out. I think your drive needs to have a working TRIM function. I don't think this works if you have Windows XP. Here is the link.

I hope this helps.

Hi FrankW, just completed the operation using Parted Magic. I can't say it wasn't a pain in the neck but mostly due to my lack of experience using the .iso file through the Bios boot sequence.
Once I got the process down using Unetbootin to save the file to a USB stick and booted to the right device, it was easy peasy! I have become a Parted Magic fan. Thanks for the help!

Yes, it actually did put me in the right direction. I now have 240GB of SSD freespace. Now I'm waiting for Battlefront to be released in November. Thanks again!
