Has Digitalstorm ever thought of doing financing their computers?

Most geeks that come here are true geeks and have $2k+ dollars to blow on a computer. They take pride in their jobs and their computers. Digital Storm doesnt want the dell, HP, crowd that needs to finance a computer in order to purchase it. Its like buying a lamborghini versus a ford. You finance a ford and pay cash money for a lamborghini. I personally dont want to deal with the ford crowd myself because average consumers are complete morons. Also who wants to deal with the default rate now with unemployment at roughly 10%. I know I wouldnt.

There are very few "true geeks" that come through here. Most are average gamers and "average geeks," if you will, that buy average computers. And yes, a 2000 dollar computer from digital storm is an average computer to "true geeks." In fact, I bet "true geeks" wouldn't even come to digital storm because they'd just build their rigs themselves. So maybe "mediumish geeks" would be more accurate.

Also, most people that come through looking for 6k+ computers are worse informed than the "average consumer," just lumping in all the expensive sh*t and think it's the best.

Digital Storm DOES want the dell and HP crowd. Why do you think they have the prebuilts? You do know the aim of a business is to make a profit, right? If they said "no, we only make computers for TRUE GEEKS" they would have died long ago.

The only reason they don't have financing is because they're still too small of a company.

I dont think either of you understood my post. What I meant by the dell crowd was individuals wanting the cheapest computer possible and the whole assembly line. I purchased a dell 2-3 yrs with a 19 in monitor for $400. It was a duo core 2.33ghz with 2gigs of ram and a 160gb hardrive. Nothing fancy but it did the job and was cheap. What is the profit on that? If you are like dell and can make less of a profit on more systems its ok, but DS is to small currently to pursue that. I dont consider Dell a competitor of DS to be honest. Both going after different customers. If someone wants a cheap system they go to dell. If you want an afforable system, quality parts, and a company to back it up you go with DS.

Dell does have alienware which is the closer to DS I guess in terms of being competive if you can call it that. I do agree with what you said about the geeks that come here or purchase here.

Rate fees eat into the profits of a company.  Especially American Express.  Small company, cost of product and gross profit.
