Hello, I am finally getting a desktop to play games since my current laptop (Dell XPS) just went tango uniform. I play several on-line games; Aces High, BF2142, City of Heroes and I have several games sitting on the shelf waiting for a PC to run them on; Assassins Creed, Rainbow 6 Las Vegas, Conan, and Crysis. I have 2 Acer monitors that have a max resolution of 1680 x 1050. My budget is $2500. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated. I do have one question though- Q1) Will the on board audio cards be able to handle headsets while simultaneously playing background sound effects through external speakers? Ticket# 274410

no the only other thing to get is a 285 which cost more but performs very close to 275. he might need another 275 for some games but I didn't want to bust the budget, if I had my way I would design the system I designed but with sli 275, but he can OC that 275 on his own and get very good performance.

Makes sense; he can probably add another 275 himself in the future if he wants to as well. :P |

exactly, adding a GPU is so easy and perhaps by the time he thinks he needs another the prices are lower too

Took the plunge and ordered the beast with 2 video cards. I am "patiently" waiting for it to make it through its rounds. I am currently at stage 6 and now I know what everyone talks about here about the "wait"! Thanks again for the advice DST!
