Budget:
My budget for the first part is 1000 to 1200. The second part would be another 500-1000 to be available in Feb. I am a cpu noob in that I don't know much. Expectations: I want a cpu that can run SWTOR on max setting with great FPS and min lag. It would be on 1920 x 1080 and a second monitor for audio and Team speak and such. I know the first build may not do that but would like it to run SWTOR and then the upgrades to finish it off. Usage: SWTOR, normal internet stuff, Fraps when it is finished. Special Needs: Only need the tower. Have everything else. Want it to be easily upgraded. So looking for the best way to do that. Specifications: |

You better wait adn buy pc in feb.
for $1200 right now all I can advise you on is ode 0: click here for ode 0 problem with that is that its not a system you can upgrade as far as adding more cards and etc, tho for SWTOR I don't believe you need sli. so when you say upgrade what do you mean by that? also there are new gpus coming out between now and feb. |

Thank you for your time and response.
The problem is my current cpu does not run SWTOR and I would like to have something that does so I can play at launch. I have about 1k - 1.2k now and could have another 1k by the end of Feburary. I knew it was a shot in the dark but I was hoping to get a decent rig that I could put more money into and make a great rig. I figured that was the response I would get but thought I would give it a shot. You all know the cpu's and I don't. Thanks. By upgrade I ment put a better graphics card, or more memomory, bigger hd stuff like that. |

You can upgrade later to a better GPU on the ODE 0 but you just can't upgrade to SLI. You can add more drives too. You won't need more memory most likely.

jm299 is correct, aside from going sli, you can upgrade other things.
but with your budget and etc, I would wait till the new gpus came out, otherwise in 2 month for your money you could have gotten better gpu. |

What they tell you and what we tell you sometimes is gonna be different, with us you are getting advise that is has no conflict of interest cause we are just customers. I'm not sure for example that DS will tell "ya wait for new gpus".
