I'm planning on buying a new PC for the holidays, and just had a few questions..
I'm looking for one with a GTX 1080, a good 500GB SSD, and that's pretty much all I care about. Obviously good RAM, etc, but i mainly want a big SSD and the 1080. I already have a 1440p 144hz monitor. I'm looking through the desktop choices and I see 6 choices, can anyone clarify exactly what makes each so much more expensive/different? Why do the same specs cost like 2000 more on the hailstorm....etc.. |

The main difference between the different configs is only the price of the case itself. For example, the Hailstorm is the Corsair 900d and the Apollo the 760t, the 900D being more pricey. The Aventum is custom, in house made and pricier still.
If your comparing the level one Apollo to the level one Hailstorm, you need to look at the parts. Hailstorm defaults to exotic water cooling and a m.2 SSD, much more $$ than a cheaper liquid cooled H110 and Samsung 840 SSD. You need to go through all the parts differences to compare accurately. You can config a hailstorm the same as the Apollo and only see the price of the case as the difference. Hope this helps.
