I just got my second antec 900 from DS due to my first one being bent in shipping. I have been using my pc for around 2 weeks works perfectly so yesterday I decided to do the hardware swap myself. I have never attempted this before so it was a learning experience for me. I just finished or I thought i did putting in the last plug and fired it up I even added 2 of the old fans out of my old case for some extra cooling, but I got this message in the start up:
"Warning! the system case did open Please check the system!"
I hit F1 to continue and get this message.
"PXE-E61 Media test failure Please check cable"
Exiting Nvidia Boot Agent.
and Bootup disk failure please enter system disk and press enter"
My questions are.
What does this warning message mean and what is not hooked up right. Is it the Hard drive?
Thanks for the help

B2, that spot is for the jumpers, which sata does not use.
double check your dvd and hdd again, so you got no media card reader, or any other drives? you updated your bios? |

if you have a port with the number zero then use that one, if you don't have a zero then use the one with number 1
sorry about the bios update question earlier, I keep thinking new build system, no bios update is not needed in this case. Edited by DST4ME - 02 Oct 2008 at 10:38pm |

Oh sorry the place doesn't let me host any bigger images but there is an SATA on top and one on bottom should either of them work? The top one is hard to get to so I didn't plug back in to that one

Sorry for the late reply, I had to get off because of school in the morning, but I realized I never tried to swap the SATA power cord so I did this and it fired right up other then the Case Has Opened error message which I cant figure out. I've re arranged my fan pluggins like 30 times and even took one fan out, Oh well I can live with hitting F1 each boot up.
Thanks a lot DST4ME you helped me think through my first pc build. Edited by Bouke285 - 03 Oct 2008 at 6:18pm |

I put the other windowd side pannel on the side that is usually solid. It looks cool, but I was wondering If I cut a small design in the plate that holdes the motherboard so you can see the back of the chip would it work fine do you think?

sorry boss just saw this, glad you got it working.
not sure about cutting the whole part, I think it should be ok but I'm not sure you want to expose the cpu like that. |
