Here's a good build if you can shell the extra 60 bucks.
Config: 3616994 Wait for some others to come in and weigh in on the build. |

Copy and paste the configuration code in "load config" at the top right and you should see all the specs

The Velox starts with a case that is $121 more than a Lumos. The Lumos starts with a case that is $116 more expensive than a Lynx. Do you want the best rig for gaming in general, and Fortnite in particular, or do you want a particular box that lesser parts come in?
At your price point, sacrifice must be made, but the last two places to make them are the CPU and the GPU, for any gaming build. That makes the Lynx Level 4 the winner. At $1499, you can't do any better. The CPU and GPU are both better than anything you can cobble together from custom parts. The other compromises that must be made for that low a price will not effect performance at all once you are in game... any game. If it's just the case, then you are saying you want less performance for a particular look. That's okay if it's what you want, but don't ask for better performance on top. In that case, grasoline's build is serviceable. the CPU will work, but is not near a 9700F for gaming. The GPU is around 35% slower. Fortnite is not the most demanding game, so your fps will probably be okay, but are you going to just play Fornite for the life of this computer? The upgrade to the primary drive and the PSU are nice-to-haves, not must-haves. Keep in mind, both the Lumos and Velox level twos offer the slowest GPU and grasoline offers an upgrade. |

so the lynx level 4 is the best one to pick? and the reason the velox is more expensive is because of the case and does the lynx level 4 have better fps than the velox level 2 and the lumos level 2 and does the the lynx level 4 have a better gpu and cpu then the velox level 2 or the lumos level 2?

"both the Lumos and Velox level twos offer the slowest GPU" Did I say it good this time? |

The Lynx pre-builts are a special value deal.
The closest you could come to the Lynx 4 with an Intel CPU in a Velox would cost you $1979, and in a Lumos, $1842. If you wanted to compromise everything for a Velox case, grasoline's build would cost $1798. It's not hard to use the Configurator. Play with it and see what you come up with. |

Mind you that the Velox's (DS' exclusive proprietary design) window is on the right hand side. mobo (larger than Lynx's prebuilt's) upside down with gpu on top and that is why it costs more. Other than that ......
