Hi,

I’m new to DS and while my shiny new build is being assembled I’m weighing monitor options. System specs should be in my signature.

Any suggestions for balancing performance and price?
Any thoughts on using a tv monitor for the family watching waiting for their turn on the VR?

Appreciate the feedback.

Welcome to the forum Whoozsh, and congrats on the Verified Customer badge!

I recommend you stick to IPS type LCD color quality selection with NVidia G-Sync on board from the NVidia tested & approved monitor list....which will work best with your RTX 2070 Super GPU to eliminate screen tearing.

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/g-sync-monitors/specs

In 34" I think the Dell-Alienware AW3420DW IPS G-Sync 3440 x 1440P WQHD Curved 120 hZ panel is a top performer.
Just set one up for my son's 2019 Lumos with an NVidia RTX 2080 FE.....an excellent performance gaming display.

In 27" I would say the Asus PG279Q IPS G-Sync 2560 x 1440P WQHD 160 hZ panel is an excellent quality choice.

TV's are an imperfect mode of display compared to gaming monitors. Your particular video card would not be recommended for high game settings with 4K, but it would likely work on reduced game settings.
