Welcome to the forum Kobra!
This is a forum of DS rig owners and DS customers, so don’t be thinking we are employees or anything... but we often help customers of DS to decide on a good choice based on our experience. I have bought 4 DS rigs since 2011, including a recent Lumos build. Right around your budget we can begin to say a rig might run most current games very well at 1440p or 1080p monitor resolutions. The NVidia RTX 2070 video card is the do it all pretty well mid range card that seems to be a sweet spot that can run most popular current games on fairly high settings at those resolutions. Here are a couple solid midrange builds that have that excellent RTX 2070 card. GOOD...Vanquish 7 Level 4 - $1,799 Config # 2373085 DS 120mm Air cooled Intel i7-8700 6 core CPU... Z370 Motherboard...16 GB RAM...240 TB SSD DS 600w power supply - 2 TB storage drive RTX 2070 Video Card LED case fans/Lights BETTER...Lynx Level 4 - $1,999 Config # 2373049 DS Sealed 240 mm water cooled i7-9700 8 Core CPU Z390 Motherboard - 16 GB RAM - 500 TB M.2 SSD DS 750W power supply - 2 TB Storage drive RTX 2070 Video Card - RGB case fans / lights With DS gaming rigs you generally get what you pay for....and you certainly could get more performance with a higher budget, but these two mid range rigs are a pretty solid value for the gaming performance they offer. See what you think. Edited by HockeyBuck - 02 May 2019 at 3:36am |

IMHO the Lynx is worth way more than the $200 difference for the CPU and the better power supply alone. You also get a better mobo and larger SSD.
