Hey guys. I figured I would bring an update on the PC. I got it in the mail yesterday and it worked great, until this morning.    I started getting the Asus surge protection error AGAIN. Turned it off in bios and it just started turning off and rebooting. Called up tech support and got a very nice guy named Kyle. We did some trouble shooting and reduced the overclocked. We also tried reducing the cpu voltage and it still didn't work. He came to the conclusion that my power supply is bad. Kyle got me priority shipping and the new psu should be here by Monday. I'm really hoping this is the problem because I really don't want to send it back again for a new motherboard. I personally think it sounds like a bad power supply but that's just me. What do you guys think? I think the reason this wasn't fixed was only the first time is when the other tech support worker filled out my RMA, he didn't include the main problem being shutting off. All the team did was replace the hard drive cage, replace cpu screws and change the cooler. Which isn't there fault it's mine because I should have explained my issue better to the technician. The PC shuts off on mainly the sims 3. When in the loading screen my fps goes all the way up to 5000 fps. Anyone know how to reduce that? P.S. Also tried a different wall outlet and didn't work.

I will have to check but i think you can disable surge protection in the bios.I remember those surge issues years ago but not too much lately. Not sure if I would do it if you really are having power surges.

Oh I know you can. I did it. What I am saying is after I turned it off instead of getting a warning and then rebooting it just shuts off and reboots randomly.

You can turn it off but that is not a good idea till you are sure its just bug and nothing wrong with the system.

Might be the psu, it should not make any weired noises no matter what now that could be the psu or the fan, you are getting a replacement so let see.
