Just wondering, when will DSO upgrade to allow the option of choosing the new Penryn chips? IE: the e8400 and e8500.

If it's not available, any ETA would be meaningless.

Why post a date that's "subject to change without notice" and based on pure conjecture?
 
All that does is open the door to complaints and finger pointing in a situation where the date DSO "promised" availability has come and gone and Intel still hasn't released the chip.

Seems like there has to be something in between a guaranteed delivery date and  sorry we have no info and you'll get them when we do!
 
A simple "we expect the CPU's this week or next would have been helpful".  I don't think anyone is looking for or expecting a guaranteed date.

I do not think that is the  Penryn chip set.
 
this might help I think it say Q1 of 2008 so between jan- march

wolfdales were released on jan 20th. yorkfield will come later in feb/march.
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star.
