I’ve received a digital storm computer from y’all and this computer should be plenty enough to run 1080p resolution consistently but I’m losing frames badly and it’s almost unplayable. I have to go to the lowest resolution just to play. And like I said this pc should be more than enough to consistently run 1080p. I turned down all my in game settings for resolution to improve my frames but it seems like nothing will help. Can u please give me some advice. Thank u

Please make certain that your monitor(s) is plugged into the GPU and not the MOBO. This is a common error with new computers.

No I have it plugged into the gpu. It will run at 144 frames for maybe 2 ish minutes on 1080p then from there on it continues to go down in frames fast until it jumps between 40-80 frames I don’t get it.

What are your specs, and what are you playing? 40-80 FPS seems hardly "unplayable" for any game. Certainly not esports performing, but nothing choppy/slow/delayed that I've seen. |

Yep, what graphics card do you have and what game are you playing. Starting at a high fps and dropping in the game could be the GPU can’t keep up. Or you need to tweak ingame settings.
It could also be the GPU is heating up and dropping clock speed. Check your GPU temps with HWMONITOR and see if it stays below 85 or so temp. Lots of variables here. Good luck. |
