Perspective on Shipping

I'm excited like many of you , having just ordered a system from Digital Storm. It will be my 2nd from the company -- I previously bought a desktop ( a Bolt) a few years ago. Now my laptop needs to be replaced.

Like you that excitement has me checking out the forums again. I've noticed a lot of people upset over the length of time it takes to get their order.

We obviously have more complicated shipping and supply right now with this pandemic, and true there was no pandemic when I ordered by desktop.

However even a few years ago it took me a month to get that desktop. I do live on the east coast though and DS is in Cali.

I don't know my experience yet with this laptop order, so I type this before knowing if it goes well or not obviously -- but based on that previous experience is why I have confidence it'll be fine. BUT also because of that previous experience I'm not planning on having that laptop in my hands for about a month.

If you have yet to get your first DS system, I can share that my desktop was (and still is) quality. The inside of the case , because of the clear side panel, looks immaculate. No BS I know several folks that are PC gamers and they own various brands - none of them beat the clean, organized cable management of my DS system, accented with the RGB lighting effects (which I rarely use btw except to "show off" the system when company is over).

Anyway so my past experience taught me qaulity takes time and by all accounts I think within 30 days is kind of "normal" at least if you live on the other side of the country.

Stage 1 has to go fast though...I do think people are justified if it takes over a week for stage 1 ...that's just order processing and payment approval I believe.

Finally, don't get too taken by the stage progression after stage 1...because they'll be a point in time, though it will take weeks, where you'll advanced multiple stages in a single day.

I think my desktop went from two weeks of no stage movement at all and then it was like stage 3, 4, 5, 6 All in the same day.

(I think Stage 7 is shipping)

Anyway... just thought to offer perspective that might ease up some worry.

That's fantastic. Btw , none of what I was saying was meant as a knock....I mean when I said the 30 day thing.

The desktop (the very one I'm typing this forum post on) you guys built me ...I still can't complain, its still beautiful still running well.

I just need to get her a better GPU soon and double the ram I think. :)
