I thought I would share some Digital Storm Engineering love. We recently been working on a super computer workstation with a popular high-end server company. I thought I would post some pictures for you guys to enjoy and drool over .
This is a Skulltrail V8 system (two Intel QX9755 3.2Ghz Extreme Edition Processors), 8GB of memory, two Intel Solid State Drives in RAID, and with three high-end TESLA NVIDIA computing cards. This is obviously not a gaming system, it's more for medial/scientific work.
This was a complete custom job. Including the in-house paint job details, and the chassis itself did not come with a side window, so we got it cut by a CNC machine. The fan blades, hose clamps, and screws were also painted yellow.
Enjoy,
Alex

For computing, yes, for gaming, nope. Gaming would be triple SLI all the way. Until the New Intel i7 .Warm Regards,

But will i7 systems be for sale on the 17th? or soon after? Also have you had time already to test them? Overclock testing and such? |

I think one of the very first replies, if not the 1st, says it all for me. Clean. Skulltrail or pentium 3 350 ;) I still want that clean look. Everything looks like it's supposed to be there. Not too cluttered, but also not a bunch of unused space. Clean indeed.

Wait for the i7 one to come out... we all know that 16 or 24 cores would make everyone happy if they have the money....

The i7 skulltrail came (EVGA W555). Now the scariest thing is that it has dual LG1366 sockets, and the Gulftown i7's are LG1366. Dodeca-Core Computing anybody?!!!! (That's 12-core, if you didn't comprehendo ) |
