please help, please

   so, i defragmented my hdd last night, and today get a bsod. i get these all teh time, and was hopeing to have a different computer by now. but i dont. and when i got the bsod, i would let start up repair do its thing. then 20 min alter it would come back saying im screwed and we cant fix it. i would reboot and ckdisk would run and then the problem would be gone.

well, i ran start up repair for 3 hours while i was fishing, it was still on, turned it off, skiped start up repair, ran ckdish. ckdisk fronze up at a point where it was recovering lost data         i expected a hdd fail at this point       i had to reboot. i skiped all of the start up repair and ckdisk only to et a bsod every time i try to boot.

is this a 100% you are fu$% up the butt and need to get a new hdd and OS (becasue i dotn have the disk, thanks gateway)

and, im using a celeron, 512mb or ram and a nvidia geforce 4mx to type this. PLEASE HELP ME.

	wait, start up repair says fixing disk errors now, going to run that, it could take over 60 min!!!

	have you tried safe mode yet? mash F8 when its starting up before windows boots and a screen allowing you to boot into safe mode should popup. Edited by ablahblah - 31 May 2010 at 8:28pm

	tryed it, fuaking failed, even he recover failed, it had teh clikc of death my sister (she started it up) says. and well. you guys TOLD ME to back i up. i jsut thought i had more time. well. i learned a lesson, as this was my first hdd fail. i have a 10 year odl computer, given its sat for 6 years it still starts up fine! im going to mirror 2 hdds together---make a exact copy, so i never have to do this again. do you think i will be able to get my pcitures, music etc off it? im getting a one tera and win-blows 7 64 bit firday, ordered it today from the new egg. well, this sucks. see every one later!

	well, some companies offer data recovery for even the most banged up, destroyed, and click-of-death hard drives. btw, RAID 1 never seemed like a good idea to me actually. if you buy and mirror 2 hdds together, then they'll fail around the same time anyways since they'll still be subjected to the same usage...

	lol true,but, my dogs got locked in the computer room over night and lets just say my hdd turned yellow. probly not the best!! and if i shake the drive and it rattles??? any way, i REALLY hope newegg can ship tommorow. free 3 day shiping and i want it here by friday or im going to do a road trip to 47 miles to the hub thingy. but, for teh time being here and my system specs intel celeron at 1.3 ghz 512mb of ram, unknown speed but it is ddr1 nvidia g force 4mx (thats right) and a 33 gig hdd with a PATA cable. i get 25 fps in counter strike source when nothing happining, as soon as i shoot it hits 8 fps. i told some guy on css that i had a 4 series and he thought i had a 480gtx took him a few to relize what i ment!

	could not post all of that message, had to give it more coal. but, i really find it funny that i KNEW it was going to fail, yet i did nothing. o well, i got a new and better os. does any one know if i can give microsoft my old vista cd key and will they ship me teh disk? that would be sweet!
