This forum contains a wealth of great info.  After educating myself on the various components offered, I think I've achieved a pretty good idea of what I want to order from DSO:

Case: Digital Storm Twister ULTRA (Silver Anodized Aluminum Finish)
Power Supply: 620W Corsair HX (Dual SLI Compatible) (Silent Edition)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz (1066MHz FSB) (8MB Cache)
Motherboard: nVidia 680i Core 2 Quad (By: eVGA) (nForce 680i SLI) (A1 Revision)
Memory: 2GB DDR2 Corsair at 1066MHz Dominator (Dual Channel) (Extreme-Performance)
Hard Drive 1: 160GB Western Digital (16MB Cache) (7200 RPM) (SATA)
Hard Drive 2: 160GB Western Digital (16MB Cache) (7200 RPM) (SATA)
Raid Option: Setup hard drive 1 and 2 in a Raid 0 Stripe (Read and Write Performance Boost)
Optical Drive 1: DVD±R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 20x / CD-Writer 48x)
Video Card: nVidia GeForce 8800GTS 640MB (By: eVGA) (PCI-Express)
Cooling: Air Cooled Stage 2 (Silent Artic Cooling Heat-sink (Copper Heatpipes)
Overclock Processor: Yes, Overclock the processor as much as possible with complete stability

I figured the best value GPA would be the 8800GTS.  I doubt going SLI would do much for my 19" CRT and the better models just don't seem to be worth the additional cash.

I upgraded to the ULTRA case for better cooling.  Is this sufficient for an OC C2 Q6600 plus GeForce 8800GTS?

What about the power supply...is the 620W sufficient or should I upgrade?

With respect to the hard drives, I thought the Raid0 double 160GBs were the best bang for the buck option.

If anybody has any upgrade/downgrade suggestions or sees an error in my logic, please chime in.

Ultra case is really nice.  It will stay pretty cool in there.  I wish I had asked for additional fans though.  They are pretty cheap.  620W is enough.

You have a great rig, your 620w PSU supports 2x8800GTS SLI, also your Ultra case is good for CPU Overclocking, you can add some more 120mm Fans for more cooling.

Thanks Solo (and Kenny).  When you say that you wish you had added additional fans, are you having performance issues or getting higher temperatures than you'd like?

I don't see where you add additional fans on the configuration page.  I guess this must be specified elsewhere?  How many extra fans should I add?

A 8800GT performs on par with the 8800GTS 640 and it's about $100 cheaper too.

Yeah, skyR, you're probably right that it's worth downgrading to the GT.

Re: the fans, is it the case that the more you stick in there the better?  I don't want my system sounding like a jet plane taking off.  How much per fan?  Will I have control over the fans (I know nothing about this)?

They run $10 per fan (I believe it's $15 for LED fans), they make less noise than the CPU fan or GPU fans when those hit 100%. Better case cooling = lower fan speeds on the components that *do* make alot of noise at max. Unless you request fans with a speed select switch on the fan itself (maybe the LED versions they use have this, I'm not sure which brand/model they use) I think they are always set to run at max speed.

I wish I asked for additional fans because I am running warmer than I would like.  I do not have AC and I live in hawaii (gets pretty hot indoors)

I am having no performance issues due to overheating though.

Ahhh, this is a good point.  I'm inclined to add some fans then.  Who makes the Ultra case?  I'd like to see a better picture of it if possible...

Hmmm... on the CoolerMaster website description for this case it says " **Cross Flow Fan will NOT work with the Nvidia 8800 Series or the ATI R600 Cards**".

http://www.coolermaster.com/products/product.php?act=detail&id=171

Interestingly, they also have an Nvidia" version of this case that they say will fit the 8800 series GPUs...

Yes, the Cross Flow Fan won't fit in the case with the 8800 cards, but that's only that one fan. What is that thing, 200mm or something insane? The 4 fans as pictured can be mounted in any Stacker with 8800 GPU's and you don't need to have the cheesy NVidia logos tatooed all over your case.

Unless of course you like the chees... err, I mean ultra cool NVidia logos uh, tastefully applied to the exterior of your enclosure. Clown

The crossflow fan retails for ~$30 and is not included with the case.

The fan bracket is included with the case and it can hold up to 4 140mm fans. You will be able to have the fan bracket and any GPU(s) of your choice that is currently on the market will fit in the case.

I'm not up to speed on the terminology. What exactly is the "cross flow fan"? Sounds like you're just referring to one fan. In the picture I see a door filled with 4 fans....is that the "stacker"?

Okay, this clears it up for me. Thanks, skyR. Seems like it would be worth filling the bracket with the 4 fans if they're only $10 apiece.

The "Stacker" is the name of the case. The model number is 830.

Yes. A cross flow fan is one fan. I had thought it was simply a very large circular fan but I was wrong on that. It's actually this:

COOLER%20MASTER%20STF-B01-E1%20Cross%20Flow%20Fan%20for%20CM-Stacker%20-%20Retail

I believe the idea was this is supposed to sit between two GPU's being run in SLI or Crossfire mode, only it doesn't fit between double wide GPU's. So the whole point of the fan is pretty well blown by size of current high end GPU's.

I see now.  Thanks, Tyler.

What is the current turnaround time on an order?  Do you require full payment before work begins or a certain % down?

full payment.  Turnaround time?  You can pay extra for rush production.  It could take up to a month if your comp gets bad parts and it fails testing.  I would guess 2-3 weeks judging by everybody elses responses on these forums.
