You need a 700W PSU at least.

The Ultras could use up to 400W under load I believe. So, I think 750 should be good....

Rest looks good.

Just keep in mind that your system will not recognize 4GB of ram until you upgrade to x64.

Ya, I'm aware of it, and once things get more stable on the 64 bit version, I will upgrade.  Thanks for your advice!

I have read it may be wise to go a little bit further than 750W with a PSU if you plan on running SLI mode with Ultras. You will want to check with Digital Storm on this, but I have seen mention of noises coming from Ultras in SLi when powered by PSU's in the ~700W range. Specifically a chirping or whistling noise. I would suggest going with an 850W at the least, possibly a 1000W based on what I have seen others that run that setup saying about it.

I have added the fact that I would like to add a second card when I placed my order, with instructions to contact me if they think there may be an issue.  Hopefully I will hear from them shortly if I need to make a change, and thanks for the heads up!

For  two 8800 Ultras you will need at least the 1000W Thermaltake.  You can find this information directly on NVidia's website (see link below).  They provide a list of what PS are supported when using two cards in SLI mode.  Per the website the Termaltake 1000W and 12000W are supported.

There's also nothing under 950W on the list.

certified =/= supported

certified is a sticker that makes products sell.

a single ultra only uses 175W on load.

1000W is the minimum for SLI Ultras? That seems like gross overkill.. Although, I admit ignorance..

I agree, 1KW PS is way too much. A 850W PS has plenty enough power to run the 8800 Ultras in SLI.

We have built machines with a 850W power supply with two 8800ULTRA's in SLI and a high-end quad core processor.

No problems, however, when you are spending that much money, a few extra bucks will do good to future proof your system with a bigger power supply.
