  • Intel Core2 Quad Q6600
  • EVGA nForce 750i or 780i Motherboard (cannot decide please help)
  • 4X 1GB Kingston HyperX DDR2 1066 RAM
  • Corsair 750W power supply
  • 2X PALiT 8800GT Sonic 1GB SLI ready video cards
  • WD 500GB 7200 RPM HDD(SATA)
  • Samsung DVD Burner 20X(SATA)
  • Silverstone Kublai Series case (KL01B-W or KL02B-W)
  • Logitech G5 Mouse
  • Monitor - Cannot decide between 24" Acer or 28" Hanns-G monitor(please help)
  • Vista Ultimate 32-Bit
  • Please give any advice you feel I need to know, or any criticism is welcome
  • I know this is not a DS Rig, but I have referred many friends to DS.
  • My budget without the monitors is around $1200, i can go a little over.
  • I want to play some games and i want the games and movies to look stunning!

Can't really review if we don't know the price and your needs.

This does look like a budget build so here are my suggestions.

I would get 750i board since they're the only SLI boards under $200 unless you can find a 680i board on sale.

I would opt for 2x2 instead of 4x1 ram. I'd go with a different brand than Kingston also since they aren't really known for anything really. Mushkin, Crucial, and GSkill are all awesome with their pricing and can overclock really well. Their RMA / customer service are by far some of the best I've dealed with.

I have no experience with silverstone cases but my personal recommendations would be either the antec 900 or coolermaster rc690 or if you're really tight on budget, the coolermaster centurion 5.


The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star.

Kickass setup! On the monitor confusion, it's really your choice. 24" is great but 28" is if you want to go that extra mile. Also what games do you plan on playing on this computer?

COD4, Crysis, Maybe some age of conan, I'm pretty new in the PC gaming world, i just want a rig that will handle anything i throw at it beautifully!
