i'm looking to purchase a new computer and have a couple of questions regarding my build.
1. power supply enough for this config?
2. does the Pro case cool effeciently for the 8800gt 512?
3. is there any overpowering benefits with going quad vs. duo?
will be used on a Samsung 226bw monitor. please all feedback/critism is welcomed.

1. Power supply is perfect. 2. Yes, the PRO case will do a good job in cooling your 8800GT and even a SLI setup of the two down the road.
3. It really depends, we recommend you go with the Q6600 because you should always future proof your system. If your going to be buying a new computer, you might as well get quad-core technology in your machine. A dual-core processor will do a really good job as well because not every game is designed for quad-core processors.

There will be more and more games that will eventually start using quad-core processors.
Also the best duel-core so far is more expensive then a Q6600. They can over-clock the Q6600 pretty damn good now. however, they can't promise a high over-clock, since processors don't all overclock the same. Edited by Bigdog - 16 Nov 2007 at 2:53pm |
