So Ive been having some issues with my computer blue screening and im getting ready to send it back to DS. But last night I hooked it back up to try something, I have two GTX 295's in my computer running in sli, and I happend to hook up my moniter to the lower video card. when my computer turned on my screen was black for a minute or two then the only thing that poped up was my cursor. nothing else would pop up and I waited around for a couple minutes. Does this mean there is something wrong with my second video card? or do you always have to have your moniter hooked up to the upper video card? Also it looks like there are two spots that you can hook up the moniter on each video card does it matter which one you use?

for nvidia I thought it was the top card.
have you tried just running one at a time to see if that helps, also changing drivers might help, but I assume you did all that. |

Yeah it does work in the top video card. Just don't know why it wouldn't work in the lower one

Probably windows recognizes the second card as undominant, and therefore thinks that anything plugged into it is instead a second monitor. Your computer probably works perfectly fine. Windows versions have a tendency to black out secondary screens during login, though you can still move your cursor in there and see it. That's what I think you were seeing.
I think preferably, you should hook up your display to the slot labeled "1" on the top video card. |

Again, you can use any slot you want, with any card. |
