Hi,

I sent email about a similar system asking some questions before purchasing. I did not receive a respond from sales, so decided to post it here for review.

1) Will this machine run cool enough as configured?
2) Is the Rampage II motherboard good enough to warrant the price increase or is the EVGA one good?
3) Is this power supply big enough for this configuration?
4) What model is the monitor? (I would like to see what it has for specs).

Any other advice is appreciated. It will be mainly used for MMO gaming and other intensive graphic gaming.

Thanks!

Can you post up a ticket number?

The EVGA Classified just was released today. From what I have seen if you really want to OC that will be the board to go with. tho its price will be high.

650W will be low for your system most of us end up with 1000W Especially since you are getitng the 295.

The only major difference is that the Rampage II has a 24GB limit where as the EVGA x58 is 12GB but no one needs more then 6GB for regular use anyways.

It should overclock ok on air.. if you have problems since DS did it its under warrenty.  I will choose Liquid for Glowing fun.

For upgarde ability I would go with the 1000w PSU or at the very least a 750w and that config will run real cool. That's pretty much my system and I run it 24/7 and it has stayed cool as ice since Feb 5th.

I agree with sodius, get the 1000w psu, change your firt optical drive to LightScribe Edition, and then make the second optical drive a DVD±R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 20x / CD-Writer 48x).

other then that you are good to go, go with the evga mobo

Classified has been announced but not released yet.
