Hey everyone I have a bit of a random question, I have an ode 3 I got about a year ago here in the US and I am moving to Australia in a couple of weeks - I know that the power voltage/system they use is different over there and I don't want to destroy my computer by plugging it in without a converter - does anyone have any advice for what i should do in terms of finding a converter/if it needs to be able to handle an 800 power supply etc? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks! - Andrew

Your PSU should adapt to the differences, all you should need is a plug adapter.

Look in the back of your PSU and there should be a little (usually red) sliding switch that switches between 115/230 volts. Then you can either get a plug adapter as Tidgxor suggested or just buy a 230V power cord like this one. I used the power cord whenever traveling to that part of the world where 230V is common

What they said pretty much sums it up, though I would use a good surge protector. Have had even basic electronics fry occasionally through my travels.

Just as a side note, if your PSU doesn't have the switch, don't freak out, many newer PSUs no longer require manually switching the voltage, but be sure to check just in case.
