Two rather straight forward and simple questions.

I currently have my own rig I built a while back when Vista came out. I tend to get new systems whenever a new OS is released.

I have a 1000W PSU, and I am about to upgrade most of the components. Just curious if you guys will think it is worth swapping out for a 1200W PSU.

Also, will I notice any difference between 6GB 1866MHz of RAM versus 2000MHz? (Why not throw in 1600MHz in there as well).

One last side note, I was planning to order a new rig from DS, but I kind of want to wait for the 6 core CPUs. Do you guys happened to know if it will be the same socket as the i7?

1. keep the 1000w

2. the difference between 1333 and 2000 is like 5fps at best.

3. it will be the same socket but if it will work in the current mobos we are not sure, I posted a topic about it in the news section, the article seemed to point that they should work but nobody is sure yet 100%, gulftown is suppose to be a socket 1366 and be out in H1 of 2010, I'm sure we will figure it out soon enough

If you can spare and go with a i7 now then a CPU and possibly mobo change in 8 month then go with the i7, otherwise wait for gulftown.
