What is everyone using for power surge on their DS computers with a 1000W power supply or higher? It doesnt have to be with battery back up but I dont want to spend a fortune either. I was going to buy:
until I switched my Corsair PS from 750w to 1000w
Are there any other options? Plus im not sure if the wattage from the power surge needs to be equal or greater then the power supply.
Thanks
Conan
PS- Im also under the config discussion.

For ups trust APC, the 1500v from APC does 875w, the ones that do more then 1000w are very expensive and need a special socket to connect to for power(20amp socket, on a 20amp circuit).
A good power supply has its own protective system for surges and other fluctuations, so just plugging it to its own socket on its own circuit is the best thing you can do. Not that a good proper UPS won't help. |
