This question has always haunted me for a long time and I was wondering if you guys could give me some input as to the answer.
With so many electronics, like a monitor and desktop having their own dedicated on/off switch, which are all plugged into a surge protector. Is there anything wrong with just switching the power off with the surge protector instead of individually turning off everything? By desktop I mean turning off the switch on the PSU, as in many cases it's difficult to reach at the back corner of the case. Would it be okay to leave the PSU switch on and just turn off the surge protector? |

That is what I have always done. I have everything plugged into my surge protector and after I shut down windows then I turn off the power on the surge protector. Never have had a problem.
