I bought an MSI Geforce 1650 Super. It requires a 6 pin power supply which I know is in the Lynx 1. I just don't know where exactly the power connector is or where to look for it. Let me know if you need any more information for you to help.

There should be all kinds of wiring neatly bundled and tied up on the other side of the motherboard. It's there to be out of the way until needed. Good luck!

How do I get to it? Do I need to take it out?

If you have a non-modular PSU, all power cables come preattached. The unused cables, including the 6-pin PCIE, will be cable managed in a bundle. You'll have to fish the cables out. You don't have to remove the PSU. The PSU should be unplugged before starting to handle cables.

Hi JZ,

Congrats on installing that gpu. Great way to get that baby going and learn some new skills.

You will have to remove the rear case door and you will probably see the psu with all the wires tied up ready for use. (you will probably have to cut some plastic tie wraps holding the bundles together. You can order some to re tie.) Pick the one with the 6+2 plug and thread it to the other side where the gpu will be or is. There are multiple rubber covered holes to do that or anywhere you can where it will be neat. I don't know that case but it should be easy and straightforward. (at least I hope)

Enjoy and keep us posted.

So below the mobo there is a grate where I can see the power connector. (For reference try and find a picture online because I can upload a picture on here). I don’t know how to get into the grate or get anything out of it. It is bolted to the case. I’m so close. I can feel it. And I know I don’t have the “verified purchase” tag but trust me. I bought it. You guys are super helpful. Just wanted to let you know. Thanks

You will have to open the case from the opposite side of the tempered glass/motherboard. The PSU is enclosed in a shroud. The loose cables may be zip-tied together. You may need to cut the zip tie to fish out the 6 pin cable.

Here is a picture of a Lynx with a modular PSU:

The only difference between this and your situation is that the modular PSU cables can be removed.

It might just be pressed in so just pull on the panel and it should come out.

Or that little screw knob in the rear  might have to be loosened and the panel pushed towards the rear and then it will come out. The notches on top and bottom seem to indicate that.

There should be two thumb screws holding the metal side panel to the chassis, remove those two.

Follow the picture above, there should be a bundle of wires in the empty space next to the power supply. You will see an extra PCI-e power cable in there.

Let me know if you have anymore questions.
