Hey I've heard recently (on this forum and elsewhere) that the Nvidia GTX 285/295 will be coming out in January of next year.  I know the prices of the the 200 series have been coming down a little bit as of the last few months.  My question is: How much of a significant price decrease will there be come mid-January?  And is it significant enough to where if I wanted to get the GTX 260 now? In a month, I could get the 280 for a similar price?  And what GTX 260 216 core is used here at DS?  I'm most definitely getting a system here...I'm just curious.  Thanks a lot.

You can request which ever brand GPU you like to be used in your system, they normally use xfx, evga, bfg, etc.

I'm not sure how much of a difference there will be.

Thanks DST4ME...What brand would you recommend?  I heard the XFX GTX 260 Black Edition was pretty good?  Is one that much better than the other?

EVGA has the step-up program which allows you to upgrade your GPU if a newer one is released up to 90 days after you purchased.

Go with them, they're the best.

Thanks fellas...I have a feeling that technology keep up with indecision...I think I'm going to go with the E8400/GTX 260 w/ 680i LT SLI Mobo...does that sound good enough?

Do I have to personally recommend the evga in the little message box for recommended configuration?  I would assume so.
