what processor are you looking at? if the 920, then no, no need to spend a dime more. Ram, what RAM are you looking at?

all you need is a 920 and 6GB of 1600MHz ram, pass that you are wasting your money, unless you do heavy duty 3D editing or virtual servers.

1600 Mhz is plenty for most apps, and most overclocks, although I do wish that Digital Storm would offer CAS 6 1600Mhz RAM, that would be a worthwhile upgrade for around $100 in my opinon.

Get a i7 920, get DSO to overclock it, you can achieve clock speeds surpassing the extreme version's factory clock speeds. 6GB RAM with at least 1333Mhz should do.
